Mission: delivering safe, person‑centred support.

PREHOSPITAL & MARITIME RESPONSE.

I am a Medical First Responder (MFR) and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) operating at EMT level, with a strong foundation in emergency medical response, nursing‑assistant fundamentals, and structured disability and complex-needs support. My practice is grounded in disciplined assessment, calm decision‑making, and a steady presence during medical or behavioural incidents.

I maintain full compliance across all required healthcare standards, including the complete AMRIC infection‑control suite, Safeguarding Adults, Children First, Manual Handling, GDPR, Chemical Safety, and IDDSI dysphagia standards.

My clinical work is patient‑centred, safety‑focused, and evidence‑based, shaped by decades of experience in elderly care, disability support, and frontline emergency operations.

Emergency & Prehospital Care

My operational capability includes:

- EMT‑level prehospital care

- MFR training and recertification

- EMR‑level emergency medical response

- FPOS‑level first response

- A–E primary assessment

- Airway adjuncts (OPA/NPA)

- BVM ventilation

- AED operation and cardiac response

- Trauma care, immobilisation & bleeding control

- Shock management

- Triage and emergency decision‑making

- Dispatcher‑assisted CPR

- SBAR communication and structured handover

- ALS‑level incident‑response familiarity

- Spinal‑injury awareness and trauma‑scene management

These competencies are reinforced by crisis steadiness, behavioural‑incident management, and the ability to maintain clarity under pressure.

Mandatory Training & Compliance (HSE/HIQA Aligned)

I am fully certified across:

This ensures safe, compliant practice in residential, community, and emergency environments.

Enhanced Behavioural‑Incident & Crisis‑Management Capability

Alongside my clinical skills, I bring advanced capability in behavioural‑incident response, risk awareness, and structured crisis management. I have also completed a CPD‑accredited Diploma in Mental Health, strengthening my understanding of mental‑health conditions, behavioural presentations, and crisis‑awareness principles. This is supported by recent formal training in:

- Advanced Conflict Management

- High‑Risk Decision‑Making

- Behavioural‑Incident Response & De‑escalation

- Security, Safety & Incident‑Response

- Coordination Loss‑Prevention & Risk‑Mitigation Principles

- Security Project Management

- Close Protection / PSD Training‑Manager Competencies

- Advanced Security‑Guard Procedures

These qualifications strengthen my ability to maintain safety, structure, and clarity in environments involving:

- Behavioural escalation

- Cognitive impairment

- Autism and developmental disabilities

- Mental‑health needs

- Complex‑needs support

My approach is calm, low‑chaos, and structured, ideal for stabilising challenging situations while maintaining dignity, safety, and predictable routines. I prioritise therapeutic, person‑centred support, not enforcement - ensuring vulnerable individuals remain safe through steady leadership and clear decision‑making.

Water Rescue & Maritime Operations

My maritime and water‑rescue experience includes:

- Rescue Swimmer operations

- Swiftwater and flood‑rescue capability

- Open‑water response

- Lifeguard and water‑rescue instruction for civilian and professional teams

- Maritime risk assessments

- Survival, search, and recovery assistance

- Maritime security awareness

- Sonar operations

- Watchkeeping duties including lookout, safety checks, security and situational‑awareness routines

This work is reinforced by service in the Royal Navy, where I also served as a Ship’s Diver and Swimmer of the Watch, performing underwater inspections, searches, firefighting, and damage‑control tasks. These roles required disciplined watchkeeping, operational security awareness, and the ability to maintain clarity and safety during maritime incidents.

Humanitarian Operations

During the European migrant crisis, I served as a Rescue Swimmer and supporting medic with a humanitarian organisation operating in the Aegean Sea.

My responsibilities included:

- Water rescue and recovery

- Patient handling in unstable environments

- Coordination with medical, maritime, and civil‑protection teams

- Safety management during high‑risk operations

- Supporting onboard medical staff

- Bridge watchkeeping

These experiences strengthened my ability to remain composed, compassionate, and structured in complex, fast‑moving situations.

Operational Experience

Across my operational roles in Europe, I have:

- Coordinated water‑rescue operations

- Trained police, marine, and civil‑defence personnel

- Delivered training in lifeguarding, water rescue, cardiac‑arrest response, and emergency care

- Served as a vetted medic for major high profile international events

- Operated in challenging environments requiring adaptability and clear crisis management

- Volunteered as a first responder with Malmö’s SMS‑Lifesaver system

- Trained SAR dogs in Denmark

- Served as RNLI inshore lifeboat crew

These roles reflect a consistent focus on safety, teamwork, and structured operational practice.

Professional Approach

My clinical and operational work is guided by three principles:

- Clarity under pressure: structured thinking in complex or time‑critical situations

- Patient‑centred practice: safety, dignity, and practical support

- Team integration: effective communication and coordination across agencies

These principles shape my contribution in clinical, maritime, and field environments, ensuring a calm, reliable presence wherever I serve.
