timeline of movement



I’ve moved through distance the way some move through grief. Some of these were races. Most weren’t. They were ways to keep going when everything said stop.


I’ve run and walked across countries, swum through silence, and carried my own weight for weeks. Some attempts ended well. Some didn’t. But I showed up. I kept moving. I came back.


This isn’t a list of achievements. It’s a record of refusal.

Every ritual below is part of how I survive.



ultra-endurance challenges & rituals



2026 - The Long Fin

A world-first attempt. 50km supported finswim in wetsuit, bifins, snorkel, and goggles. No engine. Just body.


2026 - Lake Vänern Finswim

150km staged, unsupported finswim across Sweden's and the European Union's largest lake. No safety net. Just cold water and a refusal to quit. If I make it, I’ll be the first.


2026 - RIP Runs Sweden 2.0

2,000km solo, self-supported run from Karesuando to Smygehuk with a backpack. Aiming to complete the run in 25 days, beating my previous record of 27 days.


2026 - Öresund Strait Finswim

3rd attempt. 16km supported swim from Klagshamn (Sweden) to Dragør (Denmark).


2026 - Trans Scania

3rd attempt at the 246km self-supported ultra run across Skåne, southern Sweden.


Öresund Strait Swim 2025

16km finswim. Aborted at the halfway mark. Currents won.


Trans Scania 2025

246km self-supported ultra run across Skåne, southern Sweden. DNF due to injury.


Kullamannen by UTMB 2024

100-mile trail ultra. Brutal. Beautiful. Unforgiving.


RIP Runs Lake Vänern

381km self-supported run around Sweden’s and the European Union's largest lake. 4 days, 13 hours, 14 minutes. No crew. No shortcuts.


RIP Runs Sweden 2024

2,000km solo, self-supported run from Karesuando to Smygehuk with a 8.9kg pack. 27 days, 5 hours, 4 minutes. Fastest known self-supported length of Sweden run.


Kullamannen by UTMB 2023

100-mile trail ultra. Again.


Trans Scania 2023

246km solo ultra across Skåne. DNF'd after 168km.


Tjörnaparen Trail Ultra 2023

100 miles through Swedish winter.


RIP Runs Sweden 2022

First attempt. Aborted due to injury after 256km, pushing 40kg of gear.


Kullamannen by UTMB 2022

100km trail ultra.


Halland Ultra Beach Trail 2022

100km self-supported beach ultra. Two river crossings. No fanfare.


Tjörnaparen Ultra Trail 2022

2022 100km winter trail run.


Ironman Copenhagen 2021

Second IRONMAN finish.


24-Hour Time Trial 2021

Rode 782.6km.


Öresund Strait Swim 2021

Aborted after 8.8km. Currents won.


Klagshamn to Malmö Swim 2020

12km under the Öresund Bridge.


Ironman Copenhagen 2019

First IRONMAN finish.


XTERRA Swimrun 2017

Salt, sweat, and silence.


Gozo to Malta Channel Swim 2016

5.7km swim past Comino.


The Island of Legends with a Donkey 2015

52km around Gozo with a stubborn donkey and a dog.


Kenmare River Adventure Swim 2015

42km finswim. Unsupported. Unfiltered.


Death Valley 2012

Biggest cock-up. Packed up and went home after 1 day.


Gobi Desert Crossing 2011

1,600km across the Gobi Desert with camels. Heat. Silence. Distance.


Mongolia 2010

Manhauled 1,600km across the steppe. No motors. No shortcuts. Aborted due to injury.


Backpacking & Hitchhiking 1998-2002

Northern Europe to Spain. Sleeping rough. Hitchhiking. Stretching euros. Working odd jobs.


Climbing Mountains and Molehills 1997-1998

Fastpacking Germany’s Zugspitze and the Austrian hills. Boots, sandwiches, cowbells and sore shoulders.


Barrow for Your Luggage 1985-1986

At 15, I carried tourists’ bags with a homemade wheelbarrow. Earned fifty quid a day for two years.



I speak from lived experience - with emotional clarity, survivor-centered grit, and endurance-earned insight. My story isn’t just compelling. It’s necessary.
